HistoryTeachers: The French Revolution
Can you tell, I like these videos :)
Watch this video twice. Once at the beginning of the unit, and once at the end.
What inaccuracies are there in the video? Are there any?
What else might you add to their description?
What are the things that stand out the most for you after watching the video?
Why do you think the French was the last to occur, even though so many of the Enlightenment thinkers were from France?
What 3 characters do you think the singer is trying to portray or embody?
Vlog Brothers: French Revolution Parts I, II, & III
I also enjoy these guys and their random thoughts, but they do a pretty good job of summarizing the revolution.
After watching the three parts, what points did you take away from their "lecture"?
Whose revolution is it? Peasants or Bourgeoisie?
When do the Sans-Cullots make their presence known?
What do you think about Robespierre's actions? Were they justified or just absolutely absurd and unnecessary?

Do we notice a pattern in our revolutions?
The quote about the French Revolution by former Chinese president Xiaoming Lai and the impact of the French Revolution, that it is too soon to tell what the impact will be, what are your thoughts on this? Is it the case?

What are the narrator's thoughts on history and why we study it? Do you you agree with him? (watch part three)
